Seabirds know no boundaries

Akvaplan-niva is involved in research to study the migration pattern of Arctic seabirds, using new tracking technology (GLS-logger). Yesterday senior scientist Kjetil Sagerup presented some of the findings on the Arctic tern (Sterna paradisaea), the glaucous gull (Larus hyperboreus) and the Arctic skua (Stercorarius parasiticus), also known as the parasitic jaeger or parasitic skua.
