Wind-driven circulation in Van Mijenfjorden, West Spitsbergen

Water exchange in Van Mijenfjorden in West-Spitsbergen is restricted by the topographic sill feature of the fjord. To understand the physical structure of this system, field data on hydrography and currents were combined with numerical modelling simulations to investigate the fjord dynamics in a summer season, i.e. without ice cover.
