In 2006, Akvaplan-niva took this cooperation a step further, establishing in Murmansk a subsidiary company, Akvaplan-niva Barents. Akvaplan-niva Barents enhances access to Russian expertise and infrastructure when addressing all aspects of environmental issues, from natural resource and industrial impact assessments, to environmental regulations and audits.

Research
Our scientists conduct basic and applied research in Russia on natural resources and human impacts with an emphasis on nature resources, biodiversity and sustainable water use. These activities are carried out in accordance with international and national procedures and standards.
