Akvaplan-niva is located in the
Polar Environmental Centre in Tromsø. Since the establishment of the
company in 1984, activities and studies in the Arctic and cooperation
with Russian partners been a main focus. Over the years the company has
achieves wide experience from consultancy and research project in these
regions and developed world-class expertise in cold-water environments
and aquaculture.

Polar Environmental Centre.
Akvaplan-niva is a partner in the Polar Environmental Centre - a
multi-institute center for cooperation on environmental research in
polar areas and the Barents region. Other partners in the centre
include the Norwegian Polar Institute, the Norwegian Institute for
Air Research and the Norwegian Institute for Nature Research

Akvaplan-niva Barents LTD
is
a subsidiary company of Akvaplan-niva in Murmansk. This Russian
company will work in close co-operation with Akvaplan-niva in Norway
and with the large number of Russian institutes with whom
Akvaplan-niva has collaborated for 20 years.

ARCTOS.
Akvaplan-niva is a partner in the
ARCTOS research network for arctic marine ecology and leads the
Applied Science activities in this network. Other ARCTOS partners
are the University of Tromsø, the Centre for University Studies in
Spitsbergen (UNIS) and the Norwegian Polar Institute.
