 Sediment monitoring on offshore oil and gas fields
Akvaplan-niva is a market leader in offshore sediment monitoring. Since 1989, we have undertaken more than 40 extensive monitoring and baseline surveys for major oil companies in Norwegian, Faeroese and Danish offshore areas. Samples for biological, chemical and geological analyses are processed at our in-house accredited laboratories and in accordance with Norwegian State Pollution Control Authority guidelines. The majority of offshore sediment monitoring has been carried out around oil and gas installations in the North Sea, as this is the centre of gravity for the Norwegian O&G industry.
